Introducing
Virtual AMS (VAMS)
Triple 5's Virtual AMS (VAMS)
provides a new way to view AMS data and recreate AMS screens at
remote locations.
VAMS offers a simple, cost-effective method for AMS users to
share critical leak detection data with any company computer and
enhances Triple 5's ability to provide assistance with early
leak detection.

Leak History 18
The tube leak
occurred in a 102MW, tangent tube boiler equipped with 20
metalborne waveguides and sensors. The metalborne waveguides
are mounted on 4" x 4" waveguide plates that attach to the
boiler. The waveguide plates act as a collection point for
acoustic activity. The amplitude of the signal increases with
the noise generated by the steam leak.

Leak History 17
The
tube leak occurred in a 300MW, Foster Wheeler boiler, equipped with 8 metalborne waveguides and sensors.
The sensors on this unit cycle with
load. That is, the signal level increases whenever the
load increases, and decreases when load decreases. On
Sunday evening, 10/21 the unit came down in load, but the
signal level for channel 2 remained high. On Monday
morning, as load was increased, channel 2 signaled an alarm.
A short time later channels 4 and 6 also signaled an alarm.
There were no other indications of a
leak. (Read More)

Our
On Line Systems, Bench Top and Portable leak detecting equipment will
help you locate problem areas in the early stages before they grow
too large causing longer down times, higher repair costs and possible
harm to employees.
